Mini-Storytelling Session with The Adent Family
I just loved this little family breakfast session in Chester from a few weeks back. I had really been wanting to shoot a mini-documentary session centered around breakfast traditions and the A family answered the call!
When I arrived at the A family’s home, they began making dough for a super yummy, fried bread recipe – a recipe that Yesenia’s mom makes and passed down. And it just so happens that this recipe is from the Bible – talk about being timeless! I love that the whole family got involved with making breakfast on this particular morning. Both littles were super excited to help out – big brother had the special job of starting the bacon and little sister loved to help mix the dough.
Also, when I mean the whole family got involved – I truly mean everyone! If you read my blogpost on including your pets in your session, you know that I think it’s super important to involve even your four-legged family members. Their pup loved hanging around them in the kitchen, hoping to catch some good eats from the rest of the family.
I really enjoyed documenting these sweet moments for this beautiful family. My favorite thing about documentary photos is that these memories are frozen in time, as a testament to who you are as a family right here and now. These sweet memories are even better in tangible form, passed down from generation to generation. They tell a family history and create a visual legacy. Don’t forget to document your life, my friends! Even the small things, like breakfast!
Do you have any fun traditions or routines that you do as a family? Drop me note to get on my calendar and let’s document life together!
