Be still my heart. This Belle Isle family portrait session was in-cred-i-ble. My friends, this little family is so photogenic and so much fun to be around. And when they have a 3 month old that smiles all.the.time., you count your lucky stars that you have the honor of capturing their fall photos AND all the love they have for little Abe. I love to say that I’ve known Abe all his life – yep, all 3 months of it. But I also knew him while he was a bun in the oven – check out Shannon’s Maymont Park maternity session – and it’s been so great getting to know him more. He has become especially smiley lately and I knew that their session would be a breeze. Abe had even been battling a cold during the week leading up to their session. But that didn’t stop him from cheesing for camera!
The Jabs’ Belle Isle family session took place last weekend, on one of the most beautiful fall evenings we’ve had yet. The air was crisp but not too terribly cold and there were no clouds in the sky. We parked on the north shore of the river and crossed the pedestrian bridge. And as soon as we made it to the island, I realized that I have come to love, love shooting family sessions at Belle Isle, especially during this time of year. The fall colors in the trees are so amazingly vibrant. Combined with their outfit choices, it made for the perfect fall family session.
The kisses, the giggles, the cuddling together. The real, authentic relationships. It’s everything I strive to capture in a session and this will surely give you #allthefeels! Enjoy a few photos from the Jabs’ fall mini session and don’t forget to leave them some love! Happy Tuesday, friends!
